Amesim Packages are preconfigured packages with industry-specific solutions. The combination of licenses included in the package enables broad coverage of specific areas of application.
Since version 2504, Simcenter Amesim Essentials includes the Simcenter Amesim Advanced environment, the Simulink interface, and the following libraries: Hydraulic, Thermal, Thermal Hydraulic, Thermal Hydraulic Resistance, Pneumatic, 3D Mechanical, Electrical Static Conversion, Electrical Basics, Gas, and Two-Phase Flow.The Essentials version thus enables multiphysics system simulation with a basic range of Simcenter system capabilities.
This license includes Simcenter Amesim Advanced, the Simulink interface, and all available physical libraries for simulating complex technical systems.For example, it includes libraries for hydraulics, thermal hydraulics, two-phase flow, pneumatics, gas mixtures, mechanics (2D and 3D), and electric drives and converters. This allows interdisciplinary systems to be modeled and analyzed realistically.
This license includes all tools, interfaces, and libraries required for comprehensive modeling and simulation of vehicle systems. It offers all necessary functions—from powertrain and thermal management to electrical, hydraulic, and control systems—thus covering the entire automotive sector.

The FMI Export & Slave function enables the creation and export of Simcenter Amesim models as Functional Mock-up Units (FMUs) for model exchange or co-simulation.Please note that importing FMUs for model exchange and using them as FMU co-simulation masters does not require this function.
Simcenter Amesim is a comprehensive platform for systems engineering, while Simulink is considered the de facto standard for control development.The Amesim-Simulink Interface provides a user-friendly and efficient tool for coupling Amesim plant models with Simulink control models.This makes collaboration between control and system development teams much more efficient, as complex, multi-domain-specific models no longer need to be recreated on different platforms and model exchange is greatly simplified.
Product package consisting of Modelica Editor, Modelica Import, Modelica Compiler, and Modelica Assembly. This option enables the creation of components and models based on Modelica code for execution in Simcenter Amesim.Modelica-based models can also be coupled with C-based Amesim components using the import tool.
The Unitary Runtime is a single execution license that allows you to run a Simcenter Amesim model with any library content.It is intended for running FMUs from Simcenter Amesim or any exported simulation runs without requiring an Amesim installation.A user interface for parallel processing is not included.
Discrete partitioning is a technique that can significantly reduce simulation times for certain hydraulic systems, such as fuel injection, automatic transmission control, or ABS.It uses a true physical-discrete coupling to create a model that is particularly well suited for co-simulations without any loss of accuracy.This specifically exploits the physical behavior of wave propagation in hydraulic lines.
The Real-Time Option enables the export of an AMESim model (including supported libraries) to a real-time environment for use in a HIL (hardware-in-the-loop) simulation.This allows the electronic control unit (ECU) to be tested before it is installed in the real system. This makes it easier and faster to create a real-time simulation model, which reduces uncertainties in the development process due to late integration and significantly improves product quality and reliability.The list of supported libraries for real-time applications is documented in the online help. Depending on the real-time target system used and the desired export workflow, the Simulink Interface, the NI LabVIEW Interface, or the FMI Export & Slave Interface is required for this option.
Co-simulation is a technique in which two models are executed in their own simulation environments, including their own solvers, and are coupled with each other in fixed time steps.The Generic Co-simulation Interface is primarily intended for coupling with third-party software, but can also be used for Amesim-Amesim co-simulation.
Simcenter Amesim CAD Import Data Exchange enables the import of common mechanical CAD formats, thereby expanding the existing CAD import functions.
This option allows Simcenter Amesim models to be exported for execution in Simulink as a BlackBox.The list of supported BlackBox libraries is documented in the online help. The Simulink interface must be installed for this option to be available.
