The Simcenter SCADAS ES SCES-PD4-B is a compact 4-channel pulse and DAC conditioning unit designed for professional measurement and testing tasks with Simcenter SCADAS ES systems. It combines digital pulse/tacho inputs, analog pulse/tacho functions, and four semi-differential DAC outputs in a single 1-slot unit.

The unit is equipped with 4 BNC connectors. Each channel can be used as an analog or digital pulse/tacho input and can be switched to an analog DAC output via software. This makes the SCES-PD4-B particularly suitable for applications in which speed, tacho, encoder, or excitation signals must be flexibly processed within a SCADAS ES measurement setup.

The analog pulse/tacho inputs support, among other things, variable-reluctance sensors up to 400 V pp. In addition, digital pulse and tacho signals, as well as incremental encoders and quadrature encoders, can be integrated. The DAC outputs enable the generation of various signal waveforms, such as sine, sweep, chirp, noise, or DC signals, making them suitable for excitation, test bench, and validation tasks.
